The O’Keefe Group launches new safety campaign

The O’Keefe Group is set to launch a brand-new Health and Safety (H&S) initiative called the ‘What if’ campaign this month, highlighting the need for everyone to take personal responsibility for their health and safety.

Michelle Rice, head of Health and Safety at the O’Keefe Group, said: “Here at the O’Keefe Group we want to make safety is our top priority and ensure that everyone shares that commitment. “We have a long-term strategy for Health and Safety that is deeply imbedded into our business and one of the key cornerstones of our organisation. It’s vital that we all take care of ourselves and everyone around us. As a team we should always be inspired to work together and practice safety to the highest possible standards. We want to encourage everyone to think safety first – work safely always – and we want to achieve zero hazards so that everyone who works for the O’Keefe Group returns home safely at the end of the day. “Throughout the campaign, we want everyone to focus on the hazard and the unsafe condition. Every accident starts with a hazard so if we work to remove the hazard, the accident can never occur. Through promoting our hazard walks and sharing hazard data to drive down our accident statistics, we believe this to be the best practical hands-on approach to taking away the risk and placing the ownership of safety in the hands of everyone.” Patrick O’Keefe, CEO of the O’Keefe Group, said: “We want everyone to feel empowered to never accept unsafe behaviour. It’s vital that we always think safety first and keep focussed on being safer and healthier at work.”
